About us

Engineering with clarity and care

AEVI GmbH is an IT company that builds and maintains software, infrastructure and data systems for organisations that depend on them.

Purpose

Why we exist

Good software should make work simpler, not add another layer of complexity. Our purpose is to build systems that solve a defined problem, can be understood by the people who run them, and can change as the business changes.

Approach to engineering

Simple where possible, robust where necessary

We choose established, well-supported technologies over novelty, and we keep architecture as simple as the problem allows. Complexity is introduced only where it pays for itself in reliability, performance or flexibility.

Decisions are written down, so the reasoning survives beyond the people who made them.

Working principles

How we work

  1. 01

    Start with the problem

We clarify the business outcome before discussing technology.

  2. 02

    Deliver in small steps

Frequent, working increments reduce risk and keep feedback close.

  3. 03

    Be honest about trade-offs

Every option has costs; we make them visible so you can decide.

  4. 04

    Leave things better documented

Code, infrastructure and processes come with the context needed to maintain them.

Collaboration model

Flexible, transparent engagement

We work either as a self-contained delivery team responsible for a defined scope, or alongside your in-house engineers as an extension of your team.

In both cases you have direct access to the engineers doing the work, the repositories, the environments and the project backlog. Regular check-ins cover progress, upcoming work and open risks.

Scope, responsibilities and terms are agreed in writing at the start of each engagement.

Quality philosophy

Quality is a habit, not a phase

Built-in testing

Automated tests grow alongside the code instead of being added at the end.

Peer review

A second pair of eyes on every change catches issues and spreads knowledge.

Operational readiness

Monitoring, logging and recovery procedures are part of being done.

Continuous improvement

We review what went well and what did not, and adjust how we work.
